Grateful people are happy.  Finding joy by being thankful takes some work because we tend toward comparing with others and feeling entitled.   Then we build resentment which makes us unhappy. Fight back by building a list of what is good beginning with life itself and start to thank God.   Look at the poverty and war you could be in and pray for those who have less than you.  Then pray for opportunities to help others and take them as they come along.  Your spirits will be lifted and you'll be discovering the secret to joy.  People will begin to look to you for inspiration...
