Relapse Prevention

Did you know...?

Barbiturates such as Amytal, Nembutal, Seconal, and Phenobarbital, are also known as  barbs, reds, red birds, phennies, tooies, yellows, yellow jackets.

Barbiturates give the user temporary reduced anxiety and a short-lived feeling of well-being and lowered inhibitions thus they are addictive because the user wants that feeling back.

They slow the pulse and breathing and lower blood pressure.

They give the user poor concentration, fatigue and  confusion.

They impair coordination, memory and judgment and therefore people can do very stupid things under their influence.

A person using them may experience respiratory depression and arrest ultimately leading to death.

God Makes All Things New

A new life, new friends, new emotions, and most importantly, new hope.   Keep your spirits up, you're tackling a difficult issue, it's not suppose to be easy, but it's within range and the reward is great.

"When one door closes another door opens; but we so often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door, that we do not see the ones which open for us."
~ Alexander Graham Bell
