According to a 2007 DCF, Florida Youth
Substance Abuse Survey, about 15% of Florida high school students
reported using marijuana within the past 30 days.
Also a 2005-2006 NSDUH study showed that 10% of Florida 12-17 year olds reported using an
illicit drug within 30 days of the survey.
Kids need an active
influence in their life,
someone who is going to
be an example whom they
know loves them.
The best choice is
parents, but it also
takes more, such as
sports coaches,
teachers, church
leaders... one person
can make a difference.
