We all need people who will build us up, be encouraging and be a positive influence on our lives.  Hopefully we can be this kind of person for others as well.   It's critical to have the right people in your life when making a life change.   Sobriety isn't going to last long hanging out with drinking buddies.  They may need to care for you enough to let you get solid.  A.A. provides close knit group.  Perhaps it might be time to find a church... or a new church.  Ask God for new friends who will reinforce the change.   It might feel unfamiliar at first, but soon the power of a new life brings success and good feelings.
